Nicholaos C. Bellos, MD
Clinical Instructor in the Family Practice Residency Program at Charlton Methodist Hospital

Nicholaos C. Bellos, MD, earned his undergraduate degree in biochemistry from Rice University in Houston and his medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, also in Houston. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Tulane University affiliated hospitals in New Orleans and was chief medical resident there from 1986 to 1987. He completed a fellowship of infectious diseases in 1989 at hospitals affiliated with the University of Miami.

Dr Bellos went into private practice in 1990 in Dallas where he has also been a clinical instructor in the Family Practice Residency Program at Charlton Methodist Hospital since that time. He is the chair of the Patient Care Committee at Charlton Methodist and president elect of the medical staff there. Dr Bellos has been identified as a Best Doctor in Dallas by Dallas magazine for the past 3 years. He is a diplomate of both the American Board of Infectious Disease and the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Dr Bellos has been principal investigator for a great many scientific research studies and published abstracts and articles in professional journals on HIV/AIDS topics. He has delivered many presentations and lectures on the subject.

Helena A. Kwakwa, MD, MPH

Helen A. Kwakwa, MD, MPH received her undergraduate degree from Bryn Mawr College, her master's degree in public health from Yale University School of Medicine, and her medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine. She completed her internship and residency, as well as her fellowship in HIV disease, at the Miriam Hospital at Brown University School of Medicine in Providence, Rhode Island.

Dr Kwakwa currently serves as director of HIV Clinical Services at the Philadelphia Department of Health in Philadelphia where she is responsible for all clinical services, HIV-related grant management, program development, collaboration with area AIDS service organizations, and monthly medical updates for staff members.

Dr Kwakwa's research interests include access to care among people living with HIV, HIV in underserved communities, HIV in the developing world, and resistance in HIV.

Michael Wohlfeiler, MD, JD

Michael B. Wohlfeiler, MD, JD, has been a physician in private practice with emphasis on HIV disease since 1990 in Miami. He received a medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago in 1987 and earned a law degree from the University of Arizona College of Law in Tuscon, Arizona. Dr Wohlfeiler has been the medical director of special immunology services at Mercy Hospital in Miami since 2000 and a clinical preceptor at the University of Miami School of Medicine since 1993.

Dr Wohlfeiler has participated as a principal investigator or subinvestigator for many HIV research studies. He is currently the vice president of the Florida Academy of HIV Physicians, and he is a member of the national board of directors for the American Academy of HIV Medicine. Among other honors, Dr Wohlfeiler has been selected for inclusion in The Best Doctors in America.
